Hello, everyone. Today’s show was on Glen Beck and, ostensibly, his views on the the Middle-East. We didn’t really get into any depth about the extent of Beck’s rather radical views on the series of popular uprisings in the Middle-East because, well, Beck is an interesting subject (with a superb radio voice; I could listen to him speak for hours if it weren’t for the things he says) in his own (very Conservative) right.
To a certain extent my interest in Beck and his radical belief that both Bushes and Obama are helping set up a Islamic world power in the ruins of Ancient Babylon has come from reading Little Green Footballs, a new item on the blogroll. Have a gander.
Baby, if you’ve ever wondered, wondered whatever became of me. I’m living on the air each Thursday, 7:45AM, 95bFM…
Yeah, it doesn’t quite scan like the original, but you get the picture. I’m back, now in a weekly slot with not one but two hosts, Vince and Connor, for a weekly look at conspiracy theories. If you, like me normally, weren’t compos mentis at 7:45 this morning, you can listen to today’s show below.
Word has come down from on high that “The Cryptid Factor” is going fully cryptid and thus discussion of conspiracies are now off the agenda.
But cry not for me, for I am not yet dead. I might resurrect “The Dentith Files” as some kind of podcast in the near future.
There’s no hard feelings. I’ve not been rejected; it’s the content. You should continue to listen to David, Rhys and Buttons. They have a unique show and if there’s an audience for that, well, who knows what benefits that bring me along the line.
Still, it’s not a bad idea to ring them up, during the show, and demand I be brought back.
Just make sure you do it in the best possible taste.
So, this week we discussed the Vril-ya, Vril and touched briefly on the Vril Society. It was, as they say, a fun time had by all, and Jarred’s sexism was, although not obviously so, jocular as opposed to serious.
This is actually the first of two bFM appearances this week; I’ll be on ‘Ready, Steady, Learn’ tomorrow morning at about 8:40, talking about my research with Manu Taylor.
Tune in to tune out, or whatever the kids say. I’m off to do some work.
‘The Cryptid Factor’ team and I discussed Kerry Wendel Thornley, aka Lord Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst, co-founder of Discordianism, and author of the book ‘Oswald,’ which promoted the ‘Lone Gunman Hypothesis’ in regards to Lee Harvey Oswald and the assassination of one John Fitzgerald Kennedy, president of the United States of America.
Now, I’m going to recommend you all listen to the full show, which can be found here and here, but I know some of you might be thinking ‘I don’t want to listen to all that cryptozoological claptrap. Just give me a link to damn segment, hippy!’
Now, I think it’s very unfair to Rhys and David to say that their show is claptrap. I mean, really, how can you be so judgmental, especially when I don’t think you’ve even bothered to listen to a single episode.
Secondly (and I know I didn’t say ‘Firstly’), I’m not a hippy. Socialist, yes. Communist; almost certainly, but hippy? No. A thousand times no.
Still, perhaps you’re a busy go-getter without an iPod (or equivalent) which allows you to listen to stuff on the go. So, for you business-types, with your gray suits and neckties, here’s the segment on its own:
You might also like to join ‘The Cryptid Files’ fanpage. You could put in a good word for me.
In fact, you better…
Threats don’t translate well over the internet, do they?
a) the website is back up. My hosting provider is not being particularly good at the moment, but I’ll assume it’s a blip in their otherwise exemplary service record… for the time being, and
b) I’m back on bFM as of tomorrow. ‘Sunday Breakfast’ may well have gone the way of the dodo, with its host now a TV man, but the successor show, ‘The Cryptid Factor,’ with Rhys Darby and David Farrier, is a perfect replacement and I’m very pleased to be doing my schtick with those two ‘crazy’ guys.
I’ll be discussing Kerry Thornley and his various conspiracy theories sometime about ten.
