There is a good obituary of Norman Wisdom at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/culture-obituaries/film-obituaries/8042823/Sir-Norman-Wisdom.html. He had an amazing life. Can’t stand his films, though.
I mostly remember, media-wise, his appearances on “Last of the Summer Wine.” I’m rather fond of that show (and, given its decline over the last few years, it’s a wry fondness).
